Former Barton Community College sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown has won her second Olympic Bronze medal in the 100 M.
Running for Jamaica, Campbell Brown ran a season best 10.81 to finish third in London behind countrywoman Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and American Carmelita Jeter.
Campbell-Brown ran track for the Cougars in 2001 and 2002 where she won many four national junior college titles in the 60, 100 and 200 meters both indoors and outdoors.
She is the two time defending Olympic champion in the 200M, winning gold in that event in both Beijing and Athens. The prelims for that event are Monday.
Campbell-Brown is also expected to run in the 4x100 M relay for Jamaica.
Eleven former or current Cougar athletes and four former or current coaches are participating in the London Olympics.
