Update: Hutchinson has been seeded 4th in the tournament, and will play on Tuesday, March 19 against the winner of the Howard/East Mississippi game, which will be played on Monday.

Coffeyville was also awarded an at-large bid, and is hte #9 seed. The Ravens will play on Monday (March 18) at 8:30pm against Walters State.
The Hutch Women's team also qualified for the National tournament, and will play in Salina on Wednesday, March 20 at 5:00pm. The Lady Blue Dragons will play the winner of Western Nebraksa & ASA.

The brackets for the National Junior College Athletic Association basketball national championships will be announced at 1 pm on Monday.
The format for the tournament is brand new for this season. Instead of 16 teams, there will be 24 teams in the tournament. The field will consist of the 16 disctrict champions and 8 at-large teams. Four of the eight at-large teams are true at-large bids with the final four being called 'zone bids.'
Also unlike last year's tournament, the 2013 version will be single-elimination.
The Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons men's and women's teams both won Region VI titles this past weekend meaning both earn an automatic bid to their respective national championship tournaments. The men's tournament is played in Hutchinson while the women's tournament is played in Salina.
Because of the added teams, the tournament will now last 6 days instead of 5.
