Carl Hall dropped in 21 points but Tennessee (5-3) outlasted #23 Wichita State (9-1) 69-60 on Thursday night in Knoxville.

Armstead hit a three-pointer to get within three points of the Volunteers with a little over 5 minutes to play and Hall coverted a three-point play with 3:55 to go.  However, the Vols hit 11 of 14 free throws in the last 3:29 to ice the win.  Tennessee outscored Wichita State 11-2 in the final 3:55.

The Shockers were cold from three-point range hitting just 6 of their 21 attempts.  Wichita State was also only 22-56 from the field.

Wichita State is back home next Thursday hosting Charleston Southern.
