Four different Shockers scored in double-digits with three players scoring 18 or more as Wichita State (24-5, 12-4) trounced Detroit (18-10, 10-4) 94-79 in the Shockers' Bracket Buster game. That's the highest point total for the Shockers in the regular season this year.
Malcolm Armstead paced Wichita State in scoring with 20 points while Carl Hall and Cleanthony Early each added 18 with Demetric Williams scoring 14. Carl and Cleanthony added 8 and 7 rebounds respectively.
Wichita State's defense held Detroit to less than 40% shooting from 3-point range but Nick Minnerath and Ray McCallum were still able to light up the scoreboard. Minnerath had 25 points and 7 rebounds for the Titans while McCallum led all scorers with 29 points.
Detroit got back within one point halfway through the second half but Wichita State was able to get a few stops and create points off of turnovers to keep Detroit at bay.
The Shockers have two regular-season games left. First they'll host Evansville on the 27th then they'll finish the season in Omaha against Creighton.
