WSU volleyball advances to first Sweet 16 in school history

For the first time in program history the Wichita State volleyball team is advancing to the NCAA tournament Sweet 16.  The Shockers defeated Kansas 3-1 on Saturday night in Allen Fieldhouse to advance to the next round.

Kansas won a tight first set 25-23 but the Shockers won the next three straight (25-16, 25-19, 25-21) to beat the Jayhawks.

Wichita State advances to face 6th seeded USC Trojans next Friday.
