450 wild fans decked out in purple boarded several buses Thursday morning with one destination in mind.
That destination spot is Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas…the hosting site of the 2012 Cotton Bowl.
Kansas State fans packed nine buses that left from Hays, Manhattan, Washington, and Wichita with the help of Village Travel and Tours.
The six hour trip gets fans into the heart of Texas in plenty of time for Friday night’s nationally televised game.
Everyone that hopped on a bus had something that got them giddy for the big bowl game.
Charie Broughton said she was excited to see her Wildcats play inside the massive state-of-the-art Cowboys Stadium.
"We hope to find our seats before the game”, said Broughton jokingly.
Village Tours and Travel says they have been taking fans to bowl games for years. They knew they would have a big turnout out this year to the historic Cotton Bowl game.
"It just created a perfect storm of everyone wanting to get out of town and go support the ‘cats", says travel company president Jeff Arensdorf.
Now all the fans need is a win Friday night and the bus ride back to Kansas will be even better than the one going to game.
