HAYS, Kansas -

Success on the hardwood in Kansas isn't just reserved for the Division I programs. The Fort Hays State men's basketball team returns to this week's NCAA Division II poll at number 24.

The Tigers have won eight straight games and sit at 14-3 on the season.

FHSU started the season ranked in the top 25 and climbed as high as 15, before a pair of tough overtime loses knocked them out of the poll, until this week.

The Tiger women fell out of this week's polls after a tough road loss over the weekend. They are still receiving votes for the poll and would be 28th if the poll extended that far.

Fort Hays State has a pair of big conference home games this week Thursday against Emporia State and Saturday vs Washburn.
