The Women’s basketball staff at Fort Hays State got a cold shower for a good cause on Tuesday. The staff took a break from its annual skills camp to accept the #Chillin4Charity Challenge. Head coach Tony Hobson was challenged by his former graduated assistant and Hoxie native Jacie Capra, who is now on staff at Kansas State.
As a part of the challenge, coaches agree to be doused with ice water and make a donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. They must also then challenge another fellow coach to take the challenge. Coach Hobson challenged Labatte Assistant Coach Shelby Hillman, a Cheney native who is a former Lady Tigers player.
The FHSU assistants also got into the act. Assistant coach Talia Miller challenged Jordan and Rachael Nowell at Trinity Bible College. Graduate Assistant coach Kelsie Sorenson challenged her former teammate Haley Wolf, who is now an assistant coach at Missouri Southern State.
