Indiana State used a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Wichita State 3-2 in game two of a three-game series.
Daniel Kihle went 2-for-4, while Casey Gillaspie hit his sixth home run of the season.
Reliever Aaron LaBrie took the loss. He went 1.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits.
The Sycamores jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the third inning. Taylor Steen walked with one out and moved to second on a ground out. A single to right field from Cody Zimmerman drove in Steen to give INS a 1-0 lead.
Tyler Wampler singled with two outs in the sixth and scored on a triple to right field from Jeff Zahn to give the Sycamores a 2-0 lead.
The Shockers tied it with two runs in the seventh. Casey Gillaspie led off with a solo home run to cut the lead to 2-1. With one out, Daniel Kihle singled to left field, stole second and moved to third on a throwing error. Kihle scored on a groundout from Dayne Parker to tie the score at two.
The Sycamores used a two-out rally to take the lead in the seventh. With two outs, Zimmerman singled to left field and moved to second on a single by Jacob Hayes. An infield single from Mike Fitzgerald loaded the bases and a bases loaded walk to Connor McClain gave the Sycamores a 3-2 lead.
The Shockers and Sycamores wrap up the series on Sun., April 6 at 12 p.m. Central time.
