KANSAS CITY, Mo. -

Iowa State knocked Kansas out of the Big 12 tournament on Friday with a  94 to 83 win in the semi-finals.

Georges Niang led the Cyclones with 25 points while Perry Ellis led the Jayhawks with 30.  Niang did not play for the final 1:19 of the game after taking an elbow that caused a cut just above his right eye.

Ellis scored 21 of his 30 points in the first half, but Iowa State's double-team defense held him in check for most of the second half.

The Cyclones shot 57% from 3-point range, 11-19, while Kansas was just 4-16 from long-range (26%).

Andrew Wiggins finished with 22 points for the Jayhawks, but he and Ellis were the only double-digit scorers for 10th-ranked Kansas.

Iowa State advances to face the winner of the Baylor vs Texas matchup.
