PHILLIPSBURG, Kansas -

Kansas’ Biggest Rodeo is officially underway. This year marks the 85th year for the rodeo in Phillipsburg. The event draws Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Cowboys and girls from as far away as Louisiana and Washington state.

The Rodeo is five days long, when you include the two days of slack, or extra entries that will not fit in the three normal shows.

Here’s the weekend schedule in Phillipsburg:

6 pm - Free barbecue for rodeo ticket holders, sponsored by Phillips Co. Farm Bureau and American Family Insurance, Dana Grammon Agency.

6:30 pm - Phillipsburg Rodeo Queen Finals

8 pm - First Rodeo Performance - Tough Enough to Wear Pink night at the rodeo
