Without hesitation - Rory McIlory is the best golfer on this planet. Hands down.

McIlory topped a stacked leaderboard on Sunday at the BMW Championship at 20-under-par at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. It's his fourth win on the PGA Tour this season and his third in his last four starts. Pretty dominant.

The 23-year-old is having his praises sung by everyone in the world right (I did it last week) and will continue to do so until he stops playing golf. This dominance is reminiscant of when Tiger grabbed the golf world by the tail and never let go. It's pretty clear what he is capable of doing in the game.

He will head to the Ryder Cup with so much momentum on his back that he will no doubt be dominan for Team Europe when it gets going in two weeks. Which doesn't bode well for the American side on home soil at Medinah, outside of Chicago.

A couple years ago, people were scratching their heads at the Fedex Cup playoffs and it's format, especially how the winners walked away with their gold. But this season, it's absolutely shined. Heading to Atlanta for the Tour Championship, the Top-30 all have at least one PGA Tour win and have been impactful in 2012. Wasn't the case last season with Bill Haas winning on a ridiculous chip shot from a lake, literally. (Quick reminder - the Fedex Cup is the PGA's answer to relevancy after the PGA Championship and when football begins. It's a four tournament event with the top 125 on the Money list making the field and cut down every week - 125, 75, 50, 30 - for a winner take all $10 million prize at the end in Atlanta. Guess that wasn't so quick...)

But look at the names Rory beat on Sunday in Indiana - Tiger, Phil, Westwood, Dustin Johnson, Vijay, and Adam Scott. This isn't your average high school tournament - this is big boy golf. And people are watching on Sundays, too. It's compelling and carries weight. The decision by the PGA to put the events at some of the most famous courses in the country is a big boost to it. Whatever they did in terms of point values importance of tournaments over others is working. Stick to the plan, PGA Tour.

Now that football has come back to our conscience, most people are putting their clubs away for the season but with the drop in temperatures, this is the perfect time for golf. The weather is great and the courses are finally getting some moisture, which puts them in great shape.

But if you are putting the clubs down - don't. Trust me, your game will improve if you keep swinging in the nice weather and don't let go until next spring time. Another big benefit is the drop in prices.

With the weather changing and rounds dropping, courses are cutting their fees for the "fall" and you can take advantage. AND equipment is pretty cheap right now, too. Most golf shops will be doing a fall clearance or end of summer thing soon, so grease the crease in your wallet, a little will ya?! And just keep playing golf!
