Tyshawn Taylor is now a Brooklyn Net.
With the 41st pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Portland Trailblazers nabbed Taylor before quickly trading him to the Nets, who moved from his home state of New Jersey to Brooklyn this offseason.
He was reported to be involved with a move by the Chicago Bulls at 29 but they went in another direction, leaving Taylor to float in the wind until the second round.
Taylor played four seasons with the Jayhawks in Lawrence.
It took longer than expected but Kansas' Thomas Robinson was drafted by the Sacramento Kings with the fifth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
"To walk across this stage I feel like I got over every hurdle, everything that was thrown in my way," Robinson said after being selected.
The 6'10" power forward was projected to go as high as the second pick by the Charlotte Bobcats but they went in another direction. The Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers passed up for the former Sixth Man of the Big 12 in 2011.
Robinson was named the Big 12 player of the year this past season, in his first season as a full time starter for the Jayhawks.
The New Orleans Hornets selected Anthnoy Davis with the first pick.
