Thunder stop skid, win 5-1 in Quad Cities

Head Coach Kevin McClelland wanted a much better effort tonight from his team and he got just that. The Thunder (20-10-3) scored twice in the second and third periods, beating Quad City (13-15-3) 5-1 at the I-Wireless Center on Wednesday night. Nine players recorded points including Neil Trimm, who had two goals on the night. Wichita improves to 3-2-1 on the season against Quad City and moves above .500 on the road to 7-6-2.
