Hundreds join together in Hillsboro to say a final good bye to Tabor College football player Brandon Brown. The 26-year-old died Saturday, one week after he was found unconscious outside of a McPherson home.

A grieving Tabor College campus came together Tuesday morning to share hugs and their memories of Brandon Brown.
"I remember the first time I saw him is was almost a surreal experience," Glanzer said. "He was such a huge person but just so full of love, he always had a smile on his face, and he was one person that really wanted to make it
Brown's teammates filled the front rows of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. On the same day Brown died, they took the field against the University of St. Mary and won.
COACH Mike Gardner 52:37-49 "I just told my guys to let the game heal you and to go out and just play you know for each other," said Tabor College Football Coach Mike Gardner. "We were fortunate enough to have some success. I was really pleased with how our guys responded to a tough situation."
While students continue to mourn in Hillsboro, in McPherson the investigation into Brown's death is ongoing. We can tell you that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting with that case
19-year old Alton Franklin was officially charged Monday with aiding and abetting in Brown's death. He's a former McPherson College football player.
Plans are in the works to honor Brown when both teams play against each other on October 20th.
"We have talked about different options on how to make that a meaningful experience for both campuses," Glanzer said. "The investigation is still going on so there is too much that still needs to happen yet before we can come to that."
For now, the campus will focus on healing.
Brown's family was not at Tuesday's memorial service, we're told they are headed back to California.
A fund has been set up at the Emprise Bank in Hillsboro to help with travel expenses and Brown's funeral service.
