Wichita State lost to Missouri State 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon, eliminating the Shockers from the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. Wichita State fell to Southern Illinois on Tuesday which put them into the loser's bracket.
The Bears jumped all over Shockers' starter Kris Gardner, lighting him up for 5 runs before he could complete an inning. Gardner lasted just two outs in the game before being replaced by Albert Minnis.
Minnis lasted 5 and a third innings racking up 6 strikeouts but the damage was already done. Missouri State's starter Cody Schumacher recorded a complete game shut-out against Wichita State, allowing just two hits.
