For the first time since 2003 the Wichita State Shocker women have come out of Terre Haute with a victory. Today the Shockers defeated Indiana State 63-53.
Michaela Dapprich was on fire for Wichita State scoring 22 points on 8 of 13 shooting. Alex Harden also finished in double-figures scoring for Wichita State with 16 points.
Jody Adams got better production off of her bench than Indiana State did but overall the Shockers just shot better from three-point range than the Sycamores.
The win is the Shockers' 20th of the season. That's the fourth time in school history that the women's team has recorded 20 wins. It's also the Shocks' 14th conference victory this season, tying a record that was set in the 1999-2000 season. Wichita State has a chance to break that record this coming Saturday when they play their final game of the regular season at Missouri State.
