This are setting up to potentially be a pretty nice run for Clint Bowyer. Kansas' own drove the number 33 to a second place finish last weekend in Texas, his best finish of the season.
"It was a really good night and a really good week for us," said Bowyer. "We've come on, had solid runs and we are clicking right now."
Clicking for sure, after a bumpy start, Bowyer is up to 12th in the point standing ans heading to a track that is very good for them, Talladega. How good? Well the 33 parked its self in victory lane last fall and it's also the site of his first NASCAR pole. That came in the April 2004 Nationwide race.
"I look forward to getting to Talladega and having a chance of winning," said Bowyer. "That's what all about when you go to the race track. It's such a good feeling. It's now up to us to make that happen."
Some say you have to be more lucky than good to finish up front at the plate tracks, but Bowyer would disagree.
Said Bowyer, "You have to be conscious of your surroundings. You can't put yourself in a bad situation. If they are acing hard in front of you and you don't think you should be around, get out of there. Get out of it and just don't stay there and hope it's going to change because nine times out of 10, that's not going to be the case."
