No. 16 Texas A&M (6-2) at No. 17 Mississippi State (7-1)
9 a.m., ESPN
Two former Big 12 schools joined the Southeastern Conference this season. One has gained instant respect and credibility; the other is Missouri. Texas A&M, in its first trip through America's Conference, has already scored 58 and 63 points in wins over Arkansas and Auburn — and played No. 5 Louisiana State nearly even in a five-point loss. Now comes the chance to knock some SEC West bark off Starkville before next week's SEC initiation at Alabama.
No. 14 Oklahoma (5-2) at Iowa State (5-3)
9 a.m., Channel 7
Bob Stoops has a record of 79-5 at home as Oklahoma's coach, but now is a good time to get out of town. Both of Oklahoma's defeats this year — against Kansas State and Notre Dame — have been suffered in Norman. The trip to Ames should get the Sooners away from the noise that comes with losing as a double-digit home favorite.
Towson (4-4) at Delaware (5-3)
9 a.m., NBCSN
Before the big game Saturday night in Baton Rouge, check out the Towson team that can still boast the most points scored against Louisiana State this season. Alabama needs 23 points to top the 22 Towson's Tigers scored in Death Valley against LSU in late September.
9 a.m.: Missouri at No. 8 Florida, ESPN2; Vanderbilt at Kentucky, ESPNU; Houston at East Carolina, FS West; Troy at Tennessee, Prime; Michigan at Minnesota, BTN; Air Force at Army, CBSSN.
11 a.m.: No. 15 Stanford at Colorado, FX.
Noon: Texas Christian at No. 23 West Virginia, Channel 11; Washington State at Utah, Pac-12.
Pittsburgh (4-4) at No. 4 Notre Dame (8-0)
12:30 p.m., Channel 4
This might be as dangerous as any game Notre Dame will play. It's easy to get up for Oklahoma, but not so much for Pitt. The last Notre Dame team to start 8-0 returned home after a huge win at Florida State only to lose to Boston College. Coach Brian Kelly is surely saying all the right things to keep the Irish motivated, stressing that this Pittsburgh team is much improved since losing its opener against Youngstown State.
No. 2 Oregon (8-0) at No. 18 USC (6-2)
4 p.m., Channel 11
