Romeo Crennel removes himself as defensive coordinator

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel has relieved himself of duties as defensive coordinator on a day in which the team waived starting cornerback Stanford Routt and signed defensive tackle Shaun Smith.
