WICHITA, Kan. -

No time to rest for Shocker Coaching Staff.

Wichita State signed four fall signees today, part of an early signing class. Corey Henderson, Jr., Rashard Kelly, Tom Bush Wamukota and Zach Brown all signed Wednesday afternoon.

A Houston native, Brown played his final year of high school for Sunrise Christian Academy in their postgraduate program.

"They will be watching me a lot, this year," Brown said. "I think I will be a good fit to their style of play. They play a hard style of defense and able to win games, so I'll fit in very well."

"Zach is our first commitment from this class," Marshall said. "He was also first to visit as a junior and enjoyed our Final Four run. He can do everything, defend, score, and an athletic wing that can handle the ball. He is a multi-talented wing."

Seventh-year head coach Gregg Marshall has announced the signing of Corey Henderson, Jr., Rashard Kelly, Zach Brown and Bush "Tom" Wamukota to National Letters-of-Intent to play men's basketball at Wichita State beginning with the 2014-15 season.

"We are very pleased to announce we have four NLI's back from our four verbal commitments," Marshall said.

Zach Brown, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound wing from Houston, Texas, is playing at Sunrise Christian Academy. He played at Klein Collins High in Spring, Texas, before transferring to South Kent where he averaged 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds, and is ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He is rated four-star by Future150.

"Zach is our first commitment from this class," Marshall said. "He was also first to visit as a junior and enjoyed our Final Four run. He can do everything, defend, score, and an athletic wing that can handle the ball. He is a multi-talented wing."

Rashard Kelly, a a 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward from Fredricksburg, Va., who is playing at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy in 2013-14. He played at Massanutten (Va.) Military Academy a year ago.

"Rashard is a ball-getter, an athletic rebounder," Marshall said. "He epitomizes what we want in our program."

Corey Henderson, a 6-foot-3, 165-pound guard from Episcopal School of Dallas averaged 14 points, 8.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds a year ago. He earned all-district and All-Southwest Preparatory Conference honors as a junior, and is rated a three-star prospect by rivals.com.

"He is a tall point guard who can really shoot well," Marshall said. "He plays for his father, who played at Texas A&M, so he has great genes. He is a good passer and has a very good feel for the game and a great basketball I.Q."

Bush "Tom" Wamukota, a 7-foot, 230-pound center from Kenya, is playing at Kilgore (Texas) College. A year ago, he played at Wiley (Texas) College, where averaged 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 21 games

"Bush has not been playing basketball for very long," Marshall said. "But he has a very high ceiling with good hands and really great feet. He is a high-level rebounder and a great student with a 3.8 GPA."
