The Wichita State Shockers baseball team took the series against the No. 9 Cal State Fullerton Titans with a game three 4-2 win on Sunday at Eck Stadium.

The Shockers move to 16-10 on the year while the Titans fall to 14-10.
The Titans got on the board first with a solo homerun in the top of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
The Shockers answered in their half of the inning, as Dayne Parker led-off with a triple off the top of the left field wall and then scored on a single by Chase Simpson. Micah Green then plated Simpson on a double to left-center field to give Wichita State a 2-1 advantage after two.
Cal State Fullerton scored one in the top of the third with an RBI groundout to tie the game once again, 2-2.
Parker walked to lead off the sixth inning for Wichita State, and then scored all the way from first on a double down the right-field line by Simpson. The Shockers added another run on a fielder’s choice to stretch their lead to 4-2.
The Titans put a runner on first with a single to third but Aaron LaBrie retired the next three batters to get the win and the series from Cal State Fullerton.
Sam Tewes (4-1) picked up the win for Wichita State, allowing just four hits and two runs in six innings, while LaBrie was recorded with the save, striking out two in the final inning of the victory.
Simpson went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Shockers, including two RBIs, two doubles and two runs scored on the day. Green hit 2-for-3 with a double and Tanner Kirk went 2-for-4 in the victory.
Wichita State travels to Lawrence, Kan., to take on in-state rival Kansas Tue., April 1 at 6 p.m.
