Meteorologist Sarah Fletcher says the sunshine will stick around through the weekend, but rain is back in the forecast next week.
We'll stay sunny and we'll even get a bit warmer as we head into the weekend. Highs will be a few degrees above average for this time of the year, reaching the upper 70s.
By the start of the work week, our wind will start to pick up, ahead of the next weather maker. It'll be warm and breezy with highs in the lower 80s and winds around 25 mph.
A cold front will start to move into western Kansas Monday night into Tuesday morning. Showers and storms will start to build along this front as it moves into central Kansas Tuesday afternoon. The front will exit Kansas all together Wednesday afternoon.
Storms building along this front could be strong to severe at times. We'll keep you updated as the front progresses.
Behind the front, the sunshine returns. Highs will drop into the lower 70s by mid to late in the week.
