Meteorologist Rodney Price says a few evening storms will be found in parts of northern Kansas. Elsewhere, hot and dry will be the key story with overnight lows dropping into the 70s for most areas.
The Storm Team 12 Weather Alert Day continues through the weekend, thanks to the extreme heat. We'll see triple digit temperatures combining with the modest humidity to produce heat index values, or feels-like temperatures, of 105 to 110.
More isolated storms are possible in the west Saturday evening, with additional chances Sunday afternoon and evening as a cold front eventually pushes into central Kansas. The front will finally push out the extreme heat by Monday and bring additional storm chances too.
