Meteorologist Mark Larson says look for more hit and miss showers and storms through midweek followed by drier, hotter weather as we get closer to the Labor Day weekend.

The heat of the day Monday afternoon will bring more scattered showers and storms to Kansas. Storms that do develop will move slowly resulting in locally heavy rainfall and more flood concerns. Highs will top-out in the 80s statewide.

Thunderstorm chances will continue through Wednesday, scattered at times, isolated at others, with heavy rain a threat at times.

We'll dry-out Thursday and Friday followed by a hot, windy but mostly dry, Labor Day weekend.
