Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that although the storms push out early Saturday and the weather calms down, the end of the weekend has a chance of more rough weather.
We have issued another Weather Alert Day for Sunday as severe weather is expected to return with high winds, hail, and very heavy rains.
Saturday should have high temperatures warming into the upper 80s. Light winds will be common around the state with a mostly sunny sky.
Sunday will have increasing clouds with storms developing after 3 or 4 p.m. and overspreading the area. The best chances for severe storms will be along and east of a Colby to Garden City line. And very heavy rains will pose a risk of flooding heading into Sunday night.
A few leftover storms will still be around on Monday, but mainly over eastern Kansas and the severe threat should be diminished to start the week.
