The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity...which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 5 PM MST this afternoon. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* Affected Area...In Colorado...Fire Weather Zone 253 Kit Carson and Fire Weather Zone 254 Cheyenne. In Kansas...Fire Weather Zone 013 Sherman and Fire Weather Zone 027 Wallace.

* Winds...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 16 percent.

* Temperatures...In the mid 50s to near 60.

* Impacts...Any fires that start will have extreme fire behavior and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not advised.

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong winds and low relative humidity...which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM CST this evening.

* Affected Area...In Oklahoma...Cimarron and Texas.

* 20 Foot Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected across the warning area today. Southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph are expected across the watch area on Tuesday.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 12 to 14 percent across the warning area today. RH values around 15 to 25 percent are expected across the watch area on Tuesday.

* Timing...Elevated to critical fire weather conditions for today are expected to begin around 12 PM CST and expected to end around 7 PM CST this evening.
