The U. S. Small Business Administration will close its Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Wichita at the close of business on Thursday, May 10.

Wayne Bell says, "SBA opened the center to provide personalized assistance to Kansas residents and business owners who were affected by the tornadoes, hail and severe weather April 14 through April 15, 2012.  Until the center closes, SBA customer service representatives will continue to be available to meet with residents and business owners to answer all of their questions, explain SBA's disaster loan program, issue applications, help them complete their applications and close their approved disaster loans."

No appointment is necessary. The SBA is taking applications at Carlton School at 4900 South Clifton. For more information, call 800-659-2955.

After the office closes, people can apply for loan on the SBA's website through June 22.
