Widespread snow cover across Kansas combined with some colder Canadian air pushing in from our north will make for a couple of very chilly days here in Kansas Wednesday and Thursday.
Scattered clouds will pass through northern Kansas Wednesday afternoon and sunny skies south. Temperatures will hover around 30 to 35 degrees with a northwest wind.
Despite sunny skies, it will be a bit colder Thursday with afternoon highs only climbing into the upper-20s and lower-30s along with light northwest winds.
Look for sunshine, dry weather and a nice warming trend to take us into the first weekend of 2013 as high temperatures soar into the upper-40s by Sunday.
