This afternoon's highs will soar back into the upper-40s and lower-50s for most of the state. We can expect light northerly winds across eastern Kansas and a light southerly breeze out west.

Our weekend temps will be fairly mild too as a weak storm system moves in from the west. The weather-maker will sprint through our region bringing a chance for light rain or sprinkles Saturday night and into early Sunday. Temperatures Saturday night into Sunday morning should stay above freezing so no snow or ice are expected anywhere in Kansas.

Very warm temps are on the way Monday with highs climbing into the 60s followed by another chance for rain Tuesday then cooler conditions Wednesday.
