A quiet weather pattern across the central plains and Kansas will lead to a "super" weekend. Sunshine will dominate today and winds should remain light. These conditions will lead to temperatures warming up into the 40s and 50s.
Tonight under mostly clear skies and light winds temperatures will drop into the 20s. Super Bowl Sunday looks great for a little fun in the sun. Just warm enough to get outside during the afternoon and toss the football around one more time before the game. Temperatures in the 50s most areas to near 60 in southwest Kansas. Winds should remain under 15 m.p.h.
The week ahead, temperatures are expected to remain above "normal" with a couple of systems passing through Kansas. The first on Wednesday night looks fairly weak, while the next slated for the weekend brings better chances of moisture by Friday into Saturday.
