A Wind Advisory has been issued for most of Kansas through Monday afternoon due to winds gusting over 40 to 45 mph at times. Temperatures will be much cooler Monday than the warm readings we enjoyed over the weekend.
Afternoon highs to start our week will fall back into the mid and upper-40s over the north and west, with some low 50s across south-central Kansas.
Storm Team 12 is tracking a strong storm system due to arrive Wednesday bringing us all a good bet to get wet or white.
The powerful storm has potential to produce widespread rains over southeastern Kansas and heavy wet snow-blowing snow across the northwest. It will move in Wednesday evening and continue to produce rain and snow through early Friday morning.
Behind the midweek weather-maker Friday, much colder temps will blow into our area as afternoon highs tumble into the 30s.
Be sure to check back for further updates as the storm system gets organized.
