Record high temperatures will likely be tied or broken this afternoon across the Sunflower State as highs warm into the lower and middle 80s!  Those temperatures will be some 25 degrees above normal.  We'll have mostly sunny skies around the area too and it will be a bit breezy.

A cold front will march across the area overnight, bringing a much cooler forecast this weekend.  Highs will only reach the 40s and 50s both days.  Some rain chances will be heading our way, starting in northern Kansas Saturday afternoon.  Rain showers should move into Wichita Saturday night and Sunday morning.  A little snow could mix in for northern Kansas, with any accumulation likely an inch or less.
