Clouds will move in quickly Wednesday as a cold front moves into our area. Highs will top out around 60 along with gusty southerly winds.

The cold front will march into central Kansas Wednesday evening bringing a few widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to places like McPherson, Hutch, Wichita, Winfield, and El Dorado.

Generally speaking, the southeastern third of Kansas, could pick see rainfall amounts between 0.25" and 0.50". Although a few rumbles of thunder might be heard, severe weather is not expected at this time.

A few lingering showers are possible early Thursday morning but most of the measurable rain will be move east and south of Kansas by mid-morning. Thursday afternoon looks gray but dry with highs in the 50s.

This weekend another, stronger, weather-maker will plow its way toward Kansas bringing us better chances for more widespread rain and even some snow over northwest quarter of our state.
