Poor visibility and snowpacked roads continue to make driving in western Kansas difficult. Some roads are already closing because of the weather. The snow will be moving through central and southcentral Kansas overnight.
Snowfall accumulation of 3-5 inches still appear likely north of I-70, with 1-3 inches across west central and most of central Kansas, including Great Bend and Salina. Hutch and Wichita will likely get 1 inch or less when the storm moves away Thursday morning.
Low temperatures will drop into the single digits northwest to mid 20s in Wichita. Wind chills will be sub zero for much of central and western Kansas.
Sunny skies will be back Thursday with decreasing winds during the day. Highs will be in the 35-40 degree range statewide.
It should get warmer on Friday with sunny skies expected.
