A cold front has passed through Kansas and temperatures will be heading down for Thursday.

Clouds are expected to thicken up over southern Kansas overnight. Temperatures will be dipping down into the middle teens for northern Kansas, with low 20s in Wichita. The winds may pick up a bit overnight from the northeast, which will drive wind chills down into the single digits.

Highs on Thursday will be in the 30s for much of the state. Mostly cloudy skies are expected, but dry weather should continue. Expect northeast winds to diminish some late in the afternoon.

Temperatures will warm back up going into the weekend, and an approaching storm system will bring a chance for rain Saturday night and into Sunday. Snow and ice is not expected anywhere in Kansas this weekend.
