High clouds and chilly temperatures are on tap for the overnight with lows expected to fall into the 20s. We'll have south to southwest winds across the area too.
Some mid and high level clouds are forecast on Sunday. The snow-free areas of western Kansas will warm into the 60s but where the snowpack is still hanging around, temperatures in the 40s to near 50 degree should be the rule.
The next weather maker will pass mainly to the north of Kansas Sunday night into Monday, bringing a cold front and of course a cooling trend for the first couple days of the work week. There may even be a few sprinkles or spotty light rain in northern Kansas Monday and Monday night but it's not a very good chance of rain.
The wind machine will start to increase on Monday and should really crank up across the state on Tuesday. Chilly temperatures in the 30s and 40s are anticipated for Tuesday before milder weather settles in Wednesday through Friday. Rain chances will be on the increase late Friday into the following weekend.
