After a cool weekend, look for temperatures to warm up for the start of the week with sunshine returning.

A few showers will move through Kansas overnight with a cold front moving from west to east, and the winds will turn back to the north. Lows will be in the upper 20s northwest to mid 30s in south central Kansas.

Monday looks windy with sunshine back in Kansas. Very low humidity will mean high fire danger for much of the state. Highs will range from 55-60.

The wind will die down for Monday night with mostly clear skies.

Temperatures should be just a little warmer for Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and less wind. Highs will be close to 60.

The next best chance for moisture will be coming in the second half of the week with a storm system coming over the Rockies. Rain is likely, but some snow could return to Kansas for Thursday night. Stay tuned.
