(OAKLAWN, Kan.)—
A town hall meeting took place Thursday night at the Oaklawn Activity Center, 4904 S. Clifton for Sedgwick County residents affected by the recent tornado. The meeting agenda included:- Addressing potential rumors
- Providing accurate accounts of what’s happening in the area
- Confirming next steps
- Answering residents’ questions
The meeting allowed residents to get up-to-date information about existing conditions and next steps, as well as provide an opportunity for officials to hear from residents regarding current needs and answer questions. Those attending include Emergency Manager Randy Duncan, Sedgwick County elected officials, and utility representatives from Westar Energy and Kansas Gas Service.
