Sheriff Tom Dart said at the time he would pursue a search warrant for the property.
On Thursday, the Cook County Sheriff’s office announced that their request was denied.
Cook County sheriff’s officials hope to excavate the backyard of a Northwest Side apartment building in their continuing search for additional victims of the serial killer, a spokesman for Sheriff Tom Dart told the Chicago Tribune.
WGNTV’s Larry Potash recently talked to more witnesses who saw Gacy digging holes at the location in the middle of the night.
The question remains, will authorities go back to investigate?
