The office pool provided a splash for 20 Costco employees in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
Workers from the Costco on Route 110 in Melville are the apparent winners of the nationwide $200 million lottery drawing.
The group became overnight millionaires after purchasing the winning ticket in Lindenhurst at the Mauilk & Chandni stationery store on West Montauk Highway. The winning numbers were 8, 18, 38, 46, 56 with a Powerball of 31.
Wednesday’s jackpot was worth over $201,900,000 million dollars with an estimated lump-sum value of $106 million according to Powerball officials. The jackpot had been accumulating since the last winner hit it big on April 23rd with a pot of $72 million.
