A forecast to be thankful for, then a weekend weather maker
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Jake Dunne says it is a clear and cold start to the holiday. However, wake-up temperatures in the 20s and 30s will climb into the 50s this afternoon under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky.
A cold front will move through Kansas later today into tonight. While no precipitation is expected, a few clouds and a cooler Friday is in the forecast. However, highs in the lower 50s tomorrow keep us near normal.
A weather maker is headed our way this weekend. However, it now looks like the path of the storm system will mainly stay to our south. Scattered rain showers Saturday night into Sunday morning may mix with some snow, especially along and south of highway 400, but nothing heavy is expected.
