Temperatures tumble Tuesday, but a break from the breeze
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Jake Dunne says a cold front moved through the state last night and temperatures are tumbling. After climbing into the 70s and 80s on Monday, high temperatures will be 20 to 30 degrees colder today, mostly in the 50s.
The wind will slowly relax today. A gusty north breeze between 20 and 30 mph this morning should be under 15 mph by this afternoon. The break from the breeze will continue Wednesday before the wind machine returns Thursday and remains with us through the weekend.
After another cooler than normal Wednesday (in the 50s) high temperatures will rebound into the 70s and 80s over the holiday weekend.
Aside from the wind, Easter looks excellent with sunrise temperatures in the lower 50s climbing into the lower 80s under a mainly sunny sky.
