Kansas reports over 400 new COVID-19 cases since Friday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) reported 429 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend. The state also reported 2 new deaths and 17 hospitalizations since Friday.
The percentage of Kansans that have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has increased to 36.4%.
The percentage of tests coming back positive rose slightly in Sedgwick County. The county reported a 3.7% positivity rate on Sunday and 4.4% on Monday. A little more than a third of the tests taken from Sunday (406) to Monday (230).
