McPHERSON, Kan. (KWCH) - Following Wednesday’s storms, some areas in McPherson are now flooded.

While the water is now receding, there’s still some flooding near Euclid and Lakeside, including at Lakeside Park.

Avenue A and Hickory still is under several inches of water, and according to police, is not receding as fast as some parts of the city.

There was also flooding near McPherson High School where multiple cars were stuck in water. Around 2 a.m., most of the water had already receded.

Emergency dispatch said there are more roads closed due to flooding but did not have specifics on which roads and intersections were closed in the county due to flooding.

In Rice County, some roads are closed due to flooding as well.
