WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says that we will get a break from the rain Thursday through the weekend as temperatures get warmer.
A few isolated showers and storms will continue over south central Kansas this evening with activity diminishing after sunset.
Temperatures Thursday morning will start out in the 50s with afternoon highs reaching the lower 80s, which is about 5 to 10 degrees warmer than today. Winds will be light statewide with mainly sunny skies.
Humidity levels will increase Friday through the weekend as south winds return, bringing warmer weather with highs returning to the mid to upper 80s. We will have plentiful sunshine and dry conditions.
Rain chances may return early next week mainly over eastern Kansas.
