WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita Police have arrested an 18-year-old for a hit and run that critically injured a woman outside of Central Standard Brewing Saturday evening.

Bricetin Wedel was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery and two counts of hit and run.

Police said they contacted Wedel at the Patrol South police station regarding the hit and run where he was then arrested.

The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.

One woman was in critical condition after being hit by a car in Douglas and Greenwood.

Wichita Police Department said officers responded to several calls outside Central Standard Brewery around 9:20 p.m. EMS crews located a 26-year-old woman in critical condition, and took her to the hospital.

Police say a white four-door car traveling at high speed going north on Greenwood hit the woman and drove off.

The vehicle involved was found Sunday unoccupied at a hotel at 36th and Rock Road.
