Getting hotter over the next few days
Highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says that warm weather will be staying with us over the next several days with even hotter conditions expected later this week.
It will be a mild start to the day Tuesday with morning low temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 80s to around 90 with a southeast breeze.
Humidity levels will increase Wednesday and Thursday, which will push heat index values into the mid 90s to around 100 degrees.
A cold front will move through the state on Friday, bringing some heat relief for western and northern Kansas where highs will fall back into the 80s.
Rain chances will remain low for most of the state through the remainder of the week. If any storms develop, they should remain isolated.
