2 injured in separate Wichita shootings on Hydraulic
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Two people are recovering in the hospital after two separate shootings in Wichita on South Hydraulic. Police have not said whether the shootings are connected.
The first shooting happened at 9:20 p.m. in the 4600 block of S. Hydraulic. Police said they got a call drive-by shooting in that area. On the scene, witnesses reported that shots were being fired toward a house from a parked car. Officers found gun damage to the house. About 10 to 15 minutes later, a victim arrived at a local hospital with a shotgun wound. Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police are stills searching for a suspect.
The call of the second shooting occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of N. Hydraulic. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20′s with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. lInvestigators are still gathering information and looking for a suspect in this case as well.
Police say they will continue to patrol the area throughout the night and there is no threat to the public.
