2.9 magnitude earthquake wakes Wichita, surrounding area Thursday morning

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Dozens of you were awaken Thursday morning to the sound of an earthquake. More people said they actually heard it than felt it.

The Kansas Geological Survey says the 2.9 magnitude rumbled through around 6:30 a.m. near 13th & Greenwich.

It was actually the second earthquake of the morning. Another one, measuring 1.9, was felt around 2 a.m.

No damage or injuries were reported with either event.
