WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Wichita Police Department said a Wichita man was killed in a hit-and-run accident Saturday night.

Police were in the area of south Hydraulic and I-135 when they found two motorcycles with two riders who were involved in the crash.

Officers identified Matthew Golden, 43, as one of the riders. He was pronounced dead on scene. The other Rider a 36-year-old man was transported to an area hospital and is expected to be okay.

Through the investigation officers learned that the motorcycles were traveling northbound on Hydraulic when they attempted to go around a vehicle that was also moving the same direction. That’s when one of the motorcycles made contact with the car which caused both riders to crash.

The other vehicle left the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
